Diamond Signature is assisting a private family based in Kensington in finding an experienced and dependable Nanny & Housekeeper to support the smooth running of their household. The family has school-aged children and is seeking a caring, organised and discreet professional who can provide attentive childcare whilst maintaining high standards of household cleanliness and organisation.

This position would suit someone accustomed to working in a private household, with the ability to focus on housekeeping during school hours and childcare before and after school.

Main duties & responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of duties, including, but not limited to, the following:

• Providing attentive care for the children before and after school, supporting their daily routines and preparing nutritious meals and snacks.
• Organising suitable activities and outings during school holidays and other periods when the children are not at school.
• Carrying out general housekeeping duties during school hours, including cleaning and maintaining bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas.
• Managing laundry, ironing and the organisation of clothing, household linen and the children’s belongings.
• Monitoring household supplies and assisting with shopping and routine errands as required.

Candidate requirements

Applicants should have a minimum of three years’ relevant professional experience in childcare and housekeeping, preferably within a private household. Previous experience in a combined Nanny & Housekeeper position and caring for school-aged children would be advantageous.

The successful candidate will be organised, reliable and comfortable balancing childcare responsibilities with housekeeping duties. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK. References and appropriate background checks will be required as part of the recruitment process.

Salary & benefits

A gross annual salary of £55,000–£65,000 is offered, depending on experience and suitability. Live-in accommodation will be provided. Working hours, duties, annual leave and other employment terms will be agreed with the successful candidate before appointment, in accordance with applicable UK employment legislation.
