An American-French family relocating to London is looking for an experienced and caring Private Nanny to join their household and become an important part of their children’s daily lives.

The family has three children aged 8, 6 and 3. The eldest is inquisitive and thoughtful, with a strong interest in science, reading and understanding how things work. His 6-year-old sister is cheerful, creative and sociable, enjoying drawing, music, stories and imaginative play. Their youngest is affectionate, energetic and curious, with a particular love of books, animals and being outdoors.

The nanny will be responsible for the children’s day-to-day care, including school and nursery runs, organising activities and outings, preparing meals and snacks, helping with homework and managing their afternoon and evening routines.

The nanny will work closely with the family’s private tutor, communicating regularly about the children’s routines, interests and progress. The family would like both professionals to complement each other and encourage learning naturally through reading, games, outings and everyday activities.

The family values curiosity, independence and creativity and would particularly appreciate someone who enjoys taking children to museums, parks, libraries and activities around London.

The nanny should be confident caring for children of different ages and able to create a calm and positive environment while keeping their days organised and enjoyable. A genuine interest in the children’s development and individual personalities is important to the family.

Previous experience working with private families is important, as are discretion, reliability and a warm approach. The family travels during school holidays, so occasional flexibility to travel would be appreciated.

This is intended to be a long-term position for someone who would enjoy becoming a trusted member of the family’s household team.
